Ordered this bed after reviewing several brands. The dog bed arrived when expected, but we ended up returning it. We have a big lab-mix indoor dog and we found the medium -sized bed too small. Although the bed seemed well-made, with a nice thick pad that was quite soft and comfortable, the heating element in the pad seemed to generate very little, if any heat. The mild vibrating function of the bed appeared to work well. I tried to order the next size up on the same bed, but at the time it was not available and I noticed was considerably higher in price when it would be available. If your dog is over 70 lbs I would suggest the large size, hopefully the bigger size has a heating pad that generates more heat.
A really good bed for your pets.

I bought this bed for my 3 elderly cats, and they love it. It provides just enough heat to help warm them without overheating them. The massaging vibration is extremely gentle, as well. It's also lightweight and easy to clean. Just bought another as a gift for a friend.

Works great, however it wasn't easy to get my dog to use it, vibration scares him so we don't use that feature. The heater plug sometimes pulls out... but otherwise a great product. Good for indoors, doesn't get too hot.
Purrfect Christmas Present

We got this for our 18 (almost 19) year old cat as a Christmas present. I had purchased the Petsafe Small Heated Sleeper bed for her a couple of months ago and she loved that. I didn't know if she would like the vibrating feature on this bed but she does!! It sounds like a purring cat. This bed is nice looking, comfy, a perfect size and easy for her to get on & off. She loves the heated and vibration features. This is her new favorite bed. I highly recommend the Petsafe pet beds. Very high quality.

This is one of the greatest items I have purchased for my cat. He is 17 years old and I was concerned that he would reject his new sleeping arrangements. I was so wrong! He is in love with this heated bed which seems to relieve his arthritis issues and that makes us both happy. Thanks for offering a quality product!

the bed is good quality & a nice size. my only complaint would be that you can feel the heating unit in the middle & the heat does not radiate through the entire bed/cushion. with a blanket over it, it gets pretty warm after a while. the vibrate feature is louder than i thought. that said, my dog likes the bed, i think the extra warmth from the heater is nice in the winter, it's a perfect size for the intended space, and it is well made. the cord is nice & long.

Our Dogs Love This Bed

Our dogs sleep in the kitchen. The floor is tiled and gets pretty cool in the winter, so we were in the market for a heated bed.
After some research, we purchased the medium bed. It is large enough to fit both of our dogs (Shih Tzus) comfortably. They really enjoy the heat. They're fairly indifferent to the vibrating mechanism. Incidentally, the vibrating mechanism is not adjustable but when it's on the noise it puts out ranges from kind of loud to so quiet you can't hear it working. Still not sure why that is.
The bed itelf is made of eggshell foam with a removeable cover that is machine washable. The cover goes on and off easily. One of the best features is the chew resistant cord. Cord chewing was one of my bigger concerns as one of our dogs is still a puppy. The cord comes wrapped in a metal coil that has successfully kept either dog from even trying to chew it.
All in all, a great product at a decent price. We'd buy it again.

We bought this bed over a year ago and it is still going strong. This bed is for inside use only. Our Jack Russell likes the heater but is not sure about the vibration function. Overall this bed is very well constructed and has not given us any problems. The controls are easy to use and well built. The cover is easy to clean.

I bought this for my cats, who like heated pet beds. Some of the others have a pad that gets way too hot (you do have to check them now and again and be sure to have a good thick pad around the heater). This one seems to be warm without being too warm. The first one I ordered didn't work, but Amazon replaced it quickly without any problem. The "magic fingers" feature was not important; cats don't seem to care.
Love it!

I jut got the bed today and my dog LOVES it !! He jumped out of his regular bed, which I thought I would have to hide, and he has been on this bed the entire evening. Very well made product and the heat is gentle & warm. Not too much, not too little. Thanks

...
It's not often I find a product I like as much as this bed. If I could give it six stars, I would.
Pet beds are often cold places because they are so close to the floor.
I had to look a long time to find a safe, quality heated pet bed. And this one only uses 9 watts of electricity! That's practically nothing.
This bed provides a very gentle, mild heat. You can turn it on and it will almost feel like it isn't on. But, if you place your hand or forearm on it for a few minutes, you will feel a gentle warmth where you skin is touching the bed. With a pet's fur, this must be more than enough heat. Throw a blanket on the bed on particularly cold nights and you'll likely find your dog crawling between it and the bed.
Too many times I've found my dog shivering, even on what I considered fairly warm nights. Still, I didn't know how she'd react to one of these Petsafe Wellness beds. It turns out she likes this bed very much.
She used to want to sleep on the couch at night. I'm guessing this was because it is higher off the ground. But I haven't found her on the couch once since I gave her this bed. Every night I find her on the bed, whether I've turned the heat on or not.
She even likes the vibration feature when I turn it on. It's a very gentle vibration that cycles on and off, and she must find it soothing.
The bed is very well made. The cords on the controller are protected so that a dog or cat can't chew through them. The switches on the controller feel solid and sure. The fabrics and stitching on the bed appear to be of a very high quality. My dog's been using her bed for several months with no signs of wear.
This bed comes in three sizes. My dog is on the small size of medium and would fit on the medium sized bed, but I bought the large so that she would have plenty of room to stretch out. This allows me to have one of her blankets on one side of the bed while the other remains uncovered. I find her lying in a variety of positions on all parts of the bed. That makes me glad I bought the large bed.
If you want your pet to always have a warm and comfortable place to sleep, I highly recommend this bed. I've even bought an extra one in case the one she's using ever wears out.
(I don't own a cat, but when I'm taking care of my brother's cat he'll try to monopolize the bed. Luckily it's big enough for him and my dog.) |
